COORDINATOR IV - PROMOTIONS

About the Role

The Promotions Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for the Promotions department, coordinating, tracking, and executing casino promotions, special events, and other marketing initiatives. This role involves managing documentation, assisting with budget tracking, invoice processing, and cross-departmental coordination while directly engaging with guests through on-floor promotions and emcee responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative and operational support to ensure accurate tracking and timely completion of promotional and special events.
• Maintains promotional calendars, event timelines, internal communications, and departmental documentation.
• Assists with purchases, budget tracking, invoice processing, vendor setup, and payment submissions.
• Coordinates with departments and external vendors on deliverables, timelines, event requirements, and on-site logistics.
• Assists with promotions or special events, including staffing coordination, supplies, signage, setup, and breakdown.
• Participates in on-floor promotions and events by engaging with guests to create excitement and enhance the guest experience.
• Serves as emcee, delivering clear, engaging, and professional announcements on the casino floor and at events.
• Handles promotional funds, including large cash amounts, while adhering to internal procedures.
• Maintains accurate promotion/event documentation, including winner paperwork, Title 31 documents, cash requests, and event orders.
• Maintains special event calendars and informational memos for cross-departmental communication.
• Works off-site events, including partner/sponsorship events, with responsibilities such as delivery, setup, and breakdown of event spaces.
• Collaborates with departments such as Food & Beverage, Entertainment, Security, and Advertising to align event details and ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Enforces all applicable regulations under the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, including observing and reporting suspicious activity.
• Attends Title 31/Anti-Money Laundering training at least once a year or as required by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree in business, sales, or marketing strongly preferred.
• One (1) year of experience in Marketing or Special Events required; three (3) years of prior casino experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent PC skills with working experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Intermediate experience with Casino Marketplace preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable with public speaking in front of crowds, on the casino floor, or at event stages.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Well-groomed appearance for all on- and off-site promotions/events.
• Reliable transportation for travel between Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and professionalism.
• Ability to create an energetic and memorable guest experience.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Work Environment

• Regularly exposed to secondary smoke.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
