Position Summary

The Coordinator Inflight Crew is responsible for all aspects of Inflight Crewmember schedules and all operating pairings and open segments. The Coordinator ensures that during normal and irregular operations (IROP) the integrity of the operation is maintained while ensuring compliance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) and company policies and procedures. The Coordinator demonstrates the highest level of customer service while coordinating with other departments and communicating with Crewmembers.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Monitor and resolve operational disruptions and legalities for all pairings and schedules of Inflight Crewmembers in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) and company policies and procedures
  • Schedule and allocate Inflight reserve resources for the assignment of open flying and operational coverage
  • Communicate and coordinate with System Operations to resolve daily operational irregularities
  • Continuously monitors company Electronic Mail
  • Make close-in, critical Inflight Crewmember notifications as necessary
  • Maintain daily checklists, shift logs, and provide verbal briefing as necessary and assigned
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Crew Services Leadership
  • Other duties assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • One (1) year of Scheduling and/or Operational Experience
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment math assessment
  • Solid computer background including extensive use of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for a visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One (1) year Crew Scheduling experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong mathematic skills
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Experience with automated Crew Management Systems
  • Thorough understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 121 Crewmember Expectations

  • Computer and other office equipment

Work Environment

  • Traditional office environment
  • Shift work required to support operations 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
  • Non-traditional work hours; shifts cover 24/7 flight schedule
  • Irregular operations occasionally cause extended work days

Physical Effort

  • Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently. (Sedentary)

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $32.18 per hour. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
