Responsibilities

  • Offer information pertaining to admission requirements and procedures to post-bac programs and general program completion requirements.
  • Support in the organization and promotion of Graduate Center events and programming.
  • Attend on and off-campus fairs to promote grad programs.
  • Support with oversight of Graduate Center graduate assistants and student workers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in one of the behavioral sciences, education, public or business administration, or a job-related field.
  • Two years of professional experience in a student services program areas.

Skills

  • Demonstrate commitment to serving diverse student populations with understanding of the unique needs of under-served groups.
  • Have strong "customer service" skills for welcoming and assisting users of the center.
  • Possess the ability to negotiate and prioritize across multiple Graduate Center-related tasks.
  • Possess strong computer skills, including ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Be knowledgeable in graduate admission requirements and college career patterns.

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $5,083 - $5,127 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

Schedule

This is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
