Coordinator, Field Placements and Certification

Duties/Responsibilities

• Cookbook assignment and coordination of field placements for candidates
• Maintain partnerships with PK-12 schools and districts for diverse, high-quality placement sites
• Ensure placements comply with state, district, and university regulations and policies
• Serve as primary liaison between EPP and school-based partners
• Provide clear, timely communication to candidates regarding placement and certification processes
• Monitor placement quality and serve as a point of contact for troubleshooting candidate and partner concerns
• Collaborate with internal departments to support candidate success

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
• 5+ years’ experience working in PK–12 education or educator preparation programs
• P-12 school and/or higher education administrative experience
• Knowledge of NYS teacher certification/licensure requirements and processes
• Familiarity with accreditation standards (e.g., CAEP or state agencies)
• Experience working with data systems or student information systems
