Job Responsibilities
- Produce the weekly community affairs program
- Help maintain the content updated of our local community affairs website landing page
- Aid in the coordination, execution and monitoring of our digital and social media community affairs content
- Assist in the production of community affairs campaigns
- Produce and host integrations for various programs
- Aid in the coordination of community and station events
- Host and help produce digital events / Facebook lives and webinars
- Help generate FCC compliance reports
- Fulfill the Department’s administrative responsibilities
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience in lieu of degree
- TV production experience
- Familiarity with social media tools, creating digital campaigns, knowledge of terminology and implementation
- Editorial research skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in ANVATO and BEX
- Fluent in both writing and speaking Spanish
- Experience with INEWS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Strong understanding of social media analytics, audience engagement, performance metrics, and reporting tools
- Ability to interpret data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of community outreach, engagement initiatives, and digital campaigns, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Experience using social media insights and analytics to develop strategies that increase community participation, awareness, and impact
Desired Skills & Experience
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work any shift, including mornings, evenings, and/or weekends, and on holidays as required
- Desired but not required: Ability to drive to office in Teaneck, NJ
