Coordinator, Clinical Health Sciences - Radiography

Under limited supervision, this position coordinates students and faculty compliance requirements and maintains compliance records for clinical education programs. Represents the College to clinical agencies, associate dean, faculty, and students. Supports Broward College’s compliance with clinical contracts on behalf of clinical partners hosting students, in accordance with federal, state, and accrediting requirements. Works closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Instructs specific laboratory, clinical, or lecture classes as assigned by the Associate Dean (40%).
• Coordinates, collects, manages, and evaluates documentation related to clinical and lab education, including health and physical screenings, releases, immunizations, BLS certifications, background and drug screening, regulatory compliance, and affiliating healthcare agency requirements (10%).
• Ensures compliance standards are met for students and faculty participating in learning experiences (10%).
• Performs operational support activities for Health Science programs, including resolving student issues, serving as a liaison with clinical affiliates, and assisting visitors (10%).
• Schedules regular visits to clinical affiliates and seeks new affiliate education sites (5%).
• Provides academic guidance to current and prospective students and assists with program enrollment (5%).
• Establishes and maintains relationships with counseling, registration, learning resources, advisory committees, external agencies, high schools, and other colleges (5%).
• Coordinates and prepares accurate student records, inventory, course syllabi, catalog materials, and other program information as requested (5%).
• Assists in academic planning, class scheduling, registration processes, and administrative operations (5%).
• Manages the operation of clinical facilities in conjunction with the supervisor (5%).
• Performs related duties as assigned (5%).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiography.
• Six years of clinical or related field experience with progressive responsibilities, including managing high-volume work streams and working knowledge of clinical structure and management.

• Advanced knowledge of computerized systems, including Microsoft Office Products and specialized computer systems.

Pay

$52,900 - $62,158 (salary commensurate with education and experience).

Schedule

• Full-time, regular position.
• Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.
• 40 hours per week.
• First shift.
