About the role
Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center. The Kapi‘olani Women's OB/GYN Outpatient Clinic offers complete obstetrical and gynecological care for women and is one of the most comprehensive centers for women’s health in Hawai‘i.
Responsibilities
- Provide complete obstetrical and gynecological care for women.
- Offer pre-pregnancy counseling, medical, dietary and social service counseling, pregnancy testing, prenatal and high-risk prenatal care, counseling and postpartum follow-up care, referral services, infertility diagnostics and treatment, family planning, annual physical exams and pap smears, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, birth control methods, routine gynecologic exams, evaluation for and scheduling of gynecologic surgeries, cyst biopsy and removal, nutritional counseling, and endocrine and teen clinics.
Requirements
- Must meet education requirements for Hawaii State licensing.
- Current RN license.
- Current American Heart Association, BLS card.
- Three (3) years Pediatric, OB/GYN, or Adult Medicine nursing experience.
Qualifications
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- PALS.
- ACLS.
- Current national certification in area of specialty.
