About the Role

The Coordinator, Business Development – M&A and Private Equity, is an integral part of the Corporate practice coverage team, assisting on a variety of marketing and business development activities. Reporting to the Manager and under the supervision of the Associate Director, Business Development for M&A and Private Equity, the Coordinator provides support across the M&A and Private Equity practice areas as business needs arise.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain matter databases and record updates for precedent, marketing, and business development purposes, including drafting matter descriptions for M&A and Private Equity deals.
  • Prepare M&A league table submissions.
  • Prepare deal lists for pitch and submission opportunities, focusing on matter type, geography, and industry.
  • Update print and digital marketing materials to reflect the firm’s strengths, accomplishments, and current activities.
  • Coordinate scheduling and submission of legal directories, awards, and industry guides (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR).
  • Research clients, competitor activity, and market trends/opportunities.
  • Assist with content development for presentations, proposals, and pitch materials.
  • Support conference/event participation.
  • Assist with special projects for the Business Development team as required.

  • Professional composure in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Highly motivated, responsive, and conscientious with a commitment to excellent client service.
  • Sharp attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Finance, Business, or Marketing preferred.
  • 1-3 years of business development/marketing experience at a law firm or professional services firm.

Pay

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $80,000. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and applicable licensure or certifications. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
