Coordinator Bariatric Program- Surgery Admin

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Valid Ohio RN licensure
• American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Certified Bariatric Nurse (ASMBS CBN) or obtains within 12 months of hire
• Two years recent clinical experience with bariatric population in a medical/surgical setting or ambulatory surgery setting
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to handle information with strict confidentiality
• Ability to initiate projects and carry out day-to-day operations with a minimum amount of supervision
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrates strong analytical, data management, and computer skills
• Demonstrates strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills

Preferred

• Master’s Degree
• Prior Bariatric Surgery Coordinator experience
• Knowledge of EPIC functionality

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day
• Sit or stand for extended periods
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
• Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance
• Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance
• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids
• Requires some exposure to chemicals
