About the role

Green Rabbit is a leading e‑commerce grocery distributor specializing in cold chain solutions delivered directly to customers’ doors. Part of VISTAR, a subsidiary of Performance Food Group Company, the position is based at the Whitestown, Indiana facility and works a 2nd shift schedule (Monday‑Thursday 12:00 pm‑8:30 pm, Friday 10:00 am‑6:30 pm).

Responsibilities

• Check quality of designated product and take daily inventory on produce.
• Remove spoiled, short‑dated product from inventory and repack full cases into smaller quantities.
• Perform quality checks of all produce pick locations.
• Identify and pull for dump or salvage any produce with decay or that does not meet shipping requirements.
• Report dumps or salvage to Inventory Control.
• Communicate and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co‑workers, ensuring questions are answered accurately and promptly.
• Function as a team member, performing any assigned duty to best serve the company.
• Work efficiently to reduce spoilage and contribute to profit margin, coordinating closely with the cooler Receiving Department on perishable items.
• Determine quality of returned products and collaborate with the Returns Clerk on assessment.
• Ensure poor quality product is removed before customer purchase and maintain proper rotation and quality of produce daily.
• Break/repack full cases into smaller cases in a timely, efficient manner to minimize spoilage and lost inventory.
• Monitor dating issues on designated products daily and remove any short‑dated or bad items from inventory.
• Maintain current inventory counts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6‑12 months of procurement, warehouse, and/or administrative experience in a related area.

Pay

Starting rate: $18‑$24 per hour (depends on experience)

Schedule

Monday‑Thursday: 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm; Friday: 10:00 am – 6:30 pm
