Job Summary
As a Lead Surgical Technologist, you’ll take on a vital leadership role in the OR, guiding your team and ensuring patients receive the safest, most advanced surgical care. You’ll work alongside a highly experienced, collaborative surgical team, bringing order, precision, and confidence to the operating room.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Operating Room Scrub Technician Certification (CST)
- PREFERRED: Completion of an Accredited Surgical Scrub Technician Program or experience working as a scrub tech
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Minimum of one year of surgery experience preferred
- Skilled in all surgical service lines: General, Robotics, Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Urology, Gynecology, and ENT
Responsibilities
- Leading surgical preparation by organizing suites, equipment, and instruments to ensure readiness for every procedure
- Scrubbing in and supporting surgeons through complex cardiac surgeries, anticipating needs and maintaining a safe, sterile environment
- Guiding and mentoring surgical technologists, serving as a role model while training new team members and reinforcing best practices
- Overseeing quality and safety by managing counts, handling specimens, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards
- Driving teamwork and efficiency through effective communication, rapid problem-solving, and support for on-call and emergency cases
