About the Role
Responsible for assisting the Director of Rehabilitation Services Department Supervisor with the coordination of interdepartmental communication, office management, and office work. Performs all secretarial, clerical, and receptionist duties for the Rehabilitation Services Department, including Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, and Orthopedic Technology.
Responsibilities
- Assist with coordination of interdepartmental communication and office management.
- Perform secretarial, clerical, and receptionist duties for the Rehabilitation Services Department.
- Train and supervise secretaries.
- Delegate and coordinate all office procedures.
- Prioritize workflow and manage tasks under pressure.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Prefer one year of experience in medical office secretarial work.
- Type 40 words per minute.
- Knowledge of computers, word processing, and Windows.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with others and perform in high-pressure situations.
- Eligible for promotion to Lead Office Coordinator once appropriate education and experience are obtained.
Qualifications
- Two years of undergraduate college or technical school in secretarial-related duties preferred.
