Coolant Technician

Position Summary

As a Machine Technician you will be responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the coolant tank system. Must be a self-starter, a good manager of time, work independently and follow company policy standards for safety and conduct.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain coolant recovery system
• Smart SkimMonitor coolant percentages in Smart Skim/CNC equipment
• Maintain coolant tanks and coolant pumps
• Maintain and repair chip conveyors and parts conveyor
• Sump and clean coolant tanks
• Maintain bag filter by cleaning and changing filter as required
• Maintain PM schedule
• Coolant testing
• Able to perform a minimum of 50% of all the PMs in the machine shop
• Safely drive a forklift with light loads at ground level
• Ensure that all safety requirements are always followed.

• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Mechanically inclined
• Demonstrated ability to meet demanding deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member to accomplish objectives

Position Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated ability in industrial maintenance

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Activity: Constantly - 6+ hours : Stand, Walk, Twist/Turn, Stoop/Bend, Squat, Kneel, Reach above shoulder
• Frequently - 3 to 6 hrs. : Drive/Operate PIV
• Occasionally - 1 to 3 hrs. : Lift to 50 lbs.
• Intermittent - : Crawl
• Indoor: 100 % of Time
• Outdoor: 20 % of Time
• High Humidity / Wet Conditions
• Extremely Dusty / Dirty Conditions
• Strong Odors
