Position Summary
As a Machine Technician you will be responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the coolant tank system. Must be a self-starter, a good manager of time, work independently and follow company policy standards for safety and conduct.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain coolant recovery system
- Smart SkimMonitor coolant percentages in Smart Skim/CNC equipment
- Maintain coolant tanks and coolant pumps
- Maintain and repair chip conveyors and parts conveyor
- Sump and clean coolant tanks
- Maintain bag filter by cleaning and changing filter as required
- Maintain PM schedule
- Coolant testing
- Able to perform a minimum of 50% of all the PMs in the machine shop
- Safely drive a forklift with light loads at ground level
- Ensure that all safety requirements are always followed.
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Demonstrated ability to meet demanding deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member to accomplish objectives
Position Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated ability in industrial maintenance
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Activity: Constantly - 6+ hours : Stand, Walk, Twist/Turn, Stoop/Bend, Squat, Kneel, Reach above shoulder
- Frequently - 3 to 6 hrs. : Drive/Operate PIV
- Occasionally - 1 to 3 hrs. : Lift to 50 lbs.
- Intermittent - : Crawl
- Indoor: 100 % of Time
- Outdoor: 20 % of Time
