Coolant Technician

Responsibilities
- Monitor coolant levels, concentration, and condition across assigned machines or systems
- Maintain proper coolant concentrations using refractometers or other testing tools
- Perform routine sampling and analysis of coolant to detect contamination or degradation
- Replace or recharge coolant fluids as necessary, following safety and environmental protocols
- Clean and maintain coolant tanks, sumps, and associated delivery systems
- Manage coolant waste removal and disposal in compliance with environmental regulations
- Record and report coolant usage, maintenance activities, and system performance
- Absorb and report on coolant-related machine performance issues
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure minimal downtime
- Maintain inventory of coolant supplies and place orders as needed
- Follow all workplace safety standards, including use of PPE and handling of chemicals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments preferred
- Knowledge of coolant systems and fluid maintenance best practices
- Ability to operate testing equipment and basic hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to chemical handling

- Physical Demand: Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Working Conditions: Manufacturing/Machine Shop Environment
- Training/Certifications: All training will be done Onsite
- Shift Time/Overtime: 40 hrs. a week/over time occasional
- Travel: No travel required
- Education: High School/GED
