About the Role

We are seeking Cooks to work at high-volume airport restaurants with the opportunity to grow and advance. Work for well-known restaurants that are Kansas City based.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for service using approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Maintain safety standards while using knives and other food preparation equipment.
• Assist in controlling product costs by ensuring proper management of product waste.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met.
• Work with speed and efficiency; ability to multi-task and maintain organizational structure.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass pre-employment (post offer) background check.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook.
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
