About the Role

The Cook for Fuhu will support Fuhu kitchen chefs and assist kitchen staff. This role works across multiple kitchen stations to ensure food preparation and quality meet outlet standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to restaurant recipes and guest requests.
• Assist multiple stations with food prep, cooking, and plating (e.g., Sauté, Fry/Steam, Garde Manger, wok).
• Maintain the highest level of food presentation and quality.
• Adhere to all SNHD health code regulations and standards.
• Maintain food and supply inventory; notify management of restocking needs.
• Use personal device/cellular phone for job-related tasks, including reviewing company documents.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Requirements

• Compatible knife skills.
• Ability to translate recipes into dishes.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• At least one year of cooking experience in a full-service, fine dining restaurant or similar environment.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Food Handler Card.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in international Asian cooking.
• Degree in Culinary Arts or related field/training.
• Experience in a large, luxury resort setting.

Physical Demands

• Tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
• Prolonged walking and standing.
• Bending and reaching.
• Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items up to 50 lbs.
• Eye/hand coordination.
• Ability to comply with policies, procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS), and other instructions.

• Everyone works in Guest Experience: Assist guests with a smile and escalate needs to the appropriate department if necessary.
