About the role
The Nutrition Services Department is accepting applications for a full time COOK SPECIALIST I.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food in a hospital nutrition services setting
- Follow established menus, recipes, and production schedules
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Maintain quality and quantity standards for food production
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely
- Portion and serve food items accurately
- Clean work areas, utensils, and equipment
Requirements
- Valid certification on the Cook Specialist I examination list
- Meet minimum qualifications for the classification
- Complete STD. 678 Employment Application with duties performed, Supervisor's name, and contact information
- Include all experience and education relatable to the classification
Pay
$3,799.00 - $4,656.00 monthly. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Schedule
Permanent, full-time position. In-office work location in Napa County.
