About the role
The Cook at Southmont, a skilled nursing community in Washington, PA, is responsible for preparing large quantities of food for residents, staff, and visitors. This role operates within a full-service commercial kitchen and may occasionally provide supervision to other kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
- Prepare large quantities of food items for residents, staff, and visitors
- Serve as assistant to the chef or Head cook
- Operate a full-service commercial kitchen
- Occasionally provide supervision to staff in the absence of the dining services Director
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of large quantity cooking experience
- Serve safe certification preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents and calculate figures and amounts
