Responsibilities
- Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner.
- Ask questions of guests and make personal connections to make them feel they are welcome and valued.
- Prepare all required items according to make sheets/recipes in accordance with established portions and presentation standards.
- Restock kitchen supplies and put away deliveries using FIFO method.
- Notify the Restaurant Lead of expected shortages or waste.
- Ensure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary, including deep cleaning kitchen equipment.
- Aid the Restaurant Lead in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen.
- Set up, maintain, and break down prep cook station.
- Requisition items needed to produce menu items.
- Adhere to local health and safety regulations.
- Maintain any logs required by the health department.
- Exhibit regular and recurrent attendance records.
- Follow all Suburban Inns Processes.
- Other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- Minimum Knowledge: Requires ability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions. May require typing, record keeping, or word processing. Good communication skills.
- Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: Prior restaurant experience preferred.
- Licenses, Registrations, and/or Certifications Required: ServSafe Food and Allergen Certification.
