About the role

Elephants Central Kitchen is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a food handler. This position requires a current Oregon Food Handler’s Card and flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and peak-season hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food safety and compliance with health codes
• Handle and prepare food items according to recipes and guidelines
• Assist with inventory management and restocking
• Support kitchen operations during busy periods
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements

• Current Oregon Food Handler’s Card
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a similar role preferred
• Knowledge of food service operations

Pay

$20 - $21/hour, non-exempt, FLSA status

Schedule

Schedule to be determined, with flexibility required, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and peak-season hours.

Location & Transportation

Elephants Central Kitchen is located at 1611 SE 7th Ave. Reliable transportation is required due to the location and the need to travel to and from the store.
