Job Summary: As a Cook room associate at Carolina CoPacking, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food products in a large-scale manufacturing setting. Your primary duty will be to ensure that all food products are cooked to perfection and meet our company's high quality standards. This is a full-time position at our facility located in Henderson, North Carolina. It is an individual contributor role working as part of a team of skilled professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of food products according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain cooking equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
  • Monitor and record cooking temperatures and times to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Label and store cooked food products in accordance with company procedures.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist with inventory and stock management in the cook room.
  • Adhere to production schedules and meet all deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Three years cook and/or food service experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food production or similar setting is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Able to read and follow recipes accurately
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed
