About the role
A Pomptonian Cook prepares and serves consistently high-quality foods in a college cafeteria setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of entrees for the serving line.
- Prepare and serve for daily changing sauté/action station.
- Prepare and serve for on-site catering events.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting (25-50 pounds).
- Ability to use general cafeteria equipment.
- Ability to come to work promptly and regularly.
- Ability to take direction and work well with others.
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
- Ability to concentrate and perform duties accurately.
- Ability to learn and apply policies and procedures.
- Ability to react to change productively and handle other tasks assigned.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of food and kitchen safety in accordance with food handlers guidelines.
Schedule
Monday through Thursday. No nights or weekends.
