Cook - PT

Overview

This individual is responsible to food production in all areas of the department. A knowledge of all methods of cookery is required for this position. The individual must be able to produce a quality, eye appealing product within an allotted amount of time. Performs related duties as assigned.

Position Details

• Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, 1701 Lacey Street, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701
• Hours/Schedule: Part-Time (20-hrs per week)
• Food Service Department Shift: TBD

Qualifications

• Education: None.
• Licensure: Food Handler within 180 days.
• Experience: 2 or more years of food service experience preferred.
• Certifications: None.

Other

• Skills, knowledge and abilities: Excellent integrity, takes initiative, good moral character, effectively communicate in English, both orally and written, basic math skills, time management skills, great interpersonal skills.
• Mental and Physical Requirements: Equipment used includes all food preparation equipment including oven, grill, chopper, slicer, blender, mixer, and steamer. Also able to push, pull and grip 50 pounds and pinch 10 pounds.

Preferred

• Education: High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Licensure: Preferred.
• Experience: Preferred.
• Certifications: Serve Safe Certification.
• Other: None.
