Cook (PT)

Patriots Glen is looking for a part-time weekend Cook to join their close-knit Assisted Living Community in the Lake Hills of Bellevue. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals that support the health and happiness of residents. Pay

$23.00 - $26.00 per hour, DOE

Schedule

Part-time, weekends (Saturday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of fresh meals based on daily menus and the dietary needs of residents.
• Interact with residents on a daily basis to ascertain their views, suggestions, and concerns on meals served at the direction of the Food Service Director.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Maintain and record proper temperature controls, food storage, and food rotation.
• Adhere to safety and sanitary practices.
• Support teammates to keep the kitchen running effectively and positively.
• Take pride in every plate that is sent out to ensure mealtime is a highlight for residents.

Requirements

• Obtain and maintain a Washington State Food Handler’s Permit (can obtain when hired).
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a food service setting.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be in good health and physically/mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
• Must possess knowledge of safe sanitation practices, safety practices, and special diets.
• Ability to follow recipes, read instructions, and communicate in English.
• Must be dependable and able to work in Bellevue, WA.
• Willingness to learn and a positive attitude working with a team.
