About the role

We are hiring for Cook positions in the Dietary Department at Providence Seward Mountain Haven in Seward, AK!

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve meals and snacks according to resident dietary plan of care guidelines.
• Perform housekeeping related duties and/or participate in other resident services activities as required.

Requirements

• Completion of State of Alaska approved feeding assistance program within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
• 2 years experience in quantity food preparation required, including knowledge of hot and cold food preparation.
• National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority upon hire.

• Experience with the elderly.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Full time, 1.0 FTE, 10-hr Day shifts, 40 hours per week. Per Diem, 0.01 FTE, 10-hr Variable shifts, hours per week are as needed and not guaranteed.
