Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Cook to join our cafeteria team. The position of cook; with dishwashing responsibilities provides for the preparation and distribution of food to patients, visitors and staff of Shriners Hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Practice Serve Safe Sanitation according to the guidelines of Serve Safe at all times.
- Prepare catering functions and consistently maintain quality by ensuring catering functions are prepared on time and to what the customer has ordered.
- Prepare patient meals in accordance with specific diets and is prepared at meal time and are ready on time for tray line.
- Ensure proper temp of all food served in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Prepare cafeteria meals according to specific menu.
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma / GED
- Required: 2 Years Institutional Cooking
- Required: ServSafe Food Safety Certificate
- Preferred: Hospital cooking experience
Pay
The pay range for this position is $21.24 - $31.88. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
