Cook-PRN (as-needed)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce hot food items, supporting ordering, portioning, and assembly to ensure timely service
• Handle, store, and maintain food safely and cost-effectively in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards
• Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures, maintaining equipment cleanliness and proper operation
• Follow recipes and procedures to ensure high-quality, safe, and appealing meals
• Train team members, maintain cleaning logs, manage food inventory, and help reduce waste

Qualifications

• Education: High School Education or Equivalent required
• Experience: At least one year of cooking or food service experience and the ability to perform at the cook’s level within six months in this position required
• Prior to hire: Food Handler Certification SERVSAFE, IA/IL Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training, and IA/IL Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training
