About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - San Diego is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. The hospital aims to offer compassionate, excellent care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Stay updated on nutritional services and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• One (1) year of cooking experience is required.

Qualifications

• A high school degree or equivalent is preferred.
• A Culinary Arts degree is preferred.
• Completion of a state or local food safety-training course is preferred.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.

Skills

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow standardized procedures.
• Knowledge of nutritional services and regulatory requirements.

Benefits

• Part time/Per Diem positions are eligible for a 401k plan after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year.

Pay

$24 per hour
