Responsibilities
All team members of the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, a Pyramid Global Hospitality property, have the same fundamental responsibility: to take great pride in providing Howdy Hospitality to all guests while walking the Aggie Path of P.R.I.D.E. daily.
- Checks with leadership for daily objectives.
- Support in setting up any a la carte stations required for mealtimes.
- Produces dishes in accordance with standard recipes and presentations established by the Chef.
- Preps, cleans, and organizes workstation.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary culinary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes.
- Performs banquet, kitchen line, and prep functions as directed by the Executive Chef, Hotel Chef and Sous Chefs.
- Completes mise en place before start of service.
- To include other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2-3 years previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to get it
- Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
- Requires strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds
- At least 21 years of age
- Have a desire to exceed expectations
- An energetic personality

Pay
Compensation: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour, paid biweekly (every two weeks)
Schedule
The hospitality industry is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days of the year. All candidates must be available and are expected to work Texas A&M football game days, Ring Days, graduations, and other high occupancy times due to special events.
Full-time: 30-40 hours per week depending on level of business forecasted
Days of week/weekend scheduled will vary depending on level of business forecasted.
