Line Cook - PM Shift

About the role

San Diego Mission Bay Resort is a sprawling 357-room resort, boasting multiple dining options, a beautiful pool, a kids pool, astonishing Bay views, fire pits and so much more. We are excited to welcome a new PM Line Cook to our Mission Bay Family. As a Line Cook - PM Shift you will get the opportunity to create masterpieces for all our guests to enjoy! Our cooks are the heart of our resort, using their skills and expertise to delight our guests with their culinary creations. Our cooks plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for our Food & Beverage outlets.

Requirements

• Good communication skills
• Basic culinary skills and desire to learn and grow
• Thrives on training and learning as you go
• Comprehensive knife skills, cold & hot line knowledge to include classic knife cuts and multiple cooking techniques
• Management of special requests and aggressive ticket times
• Ability to multi‑task, team‑oriented, positive attitude, flexibility
• Safe food handling and sanitation
• Previous experience in high volume, upscale, from‑scratch kitchen
• English proficiency
• 1‑2 years of previous experience working in a similar setting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; bend, twist, squat, stoop, reach above head
• Follow direction from supervisors and assimilate critique as part of daily growth
• Focus on teamwork and constant and regular communication with fellow employees and supervisors
