Cook (Part-Time)(Every Other Weekend) - Cypress Square

About the role

Cypress Square is seeking cooks to assist in the preparation, oversight, and serving of meals in a high-quality, cutting-edge Assisted Living Community. This part-time opportunity involves working afternoons and every other weekend to deliver top-notch food service and enhance resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare palatable foods that are appetizing in appearance
• Adhere to safety and sanitary requirements
• Learn and follow basic tasks and written/verbal instructions
• Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and helpful demeanor to ensure proper and timely service
• Follow grooming and dress requirements

Requirements

• Current ServSafe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) or ability to obtain one through training
• High School diploma or GED
• One (1) year of job-related experience, including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets
• Three years’ experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred
• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a safety or health threat to self or others
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
