Cook (Part-Time) - Eagle's Pointe

About the role

Eagle's Pointe, a community of Navion Senior Living, seeks cooks to assist in the preparation, oversight, and serving of meals. The position plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare palatable foods that are appetizing in appearance
• Knowledge of safety and sanitary requirements
• Learn basic tasks and follow written and verbal instructions
• Pleasant, friendly, and helpful at all times ensuring proper and timely service
• Well-groomed and follow dress requirements

Requirements

• Maintains a current ServSafe certificate or participates in food services sanitation training to become ServSafe certified
• High School diploma or GED accepted
• Culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred
• One (1) year job-related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets
• Must be 16 years or older in North Carolina, must be 18 years or older if operating power-driven machines such as a meat slicer, mixer, etc.
• Three years' experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred
• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older
• In NC, must be 18 years or older if operating power-driven machines such as a meat slicer, mixer, etc.

Skills

• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
