About the role
Eagle's Pointe, a community of Navion Senior Living, seeks cooks to assist in the preparation, oversight, and serving of meals. The position plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare palatable foods that are appetizing in appearance
- Knowledge of safety and sanitary requirements
- Learn basic tasks and follow written and verbal instructions
- Pleasant, friendly, and helpful at all times ensuring proper and timely service
- Well-groomed and follow dress requirements
Requirements
- Maintains a current ServSafe certificate or participates in food services sanitation training to become ServSafe certified
- High School diploma or GED accepted
- Culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred
- One (1) year job-related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets
- Must be 16 years or older in North Carolina, must be 18 years or older if operating power-driven machines such as a meat slicer, mixer, etc.
- Three years' experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred
- Culinary arts experience preferred
- CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
- Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
- Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years or older

Skills
- Culinary arts experience preferred
