Responsibilities
- Ensure that all dining services/dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
- Checking diet trays before distribution.
- Serve food in dining rooms as instructed.
- Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as with our establishment’s policies and procedures.
- Aid in inventory and storage of incoming food and supplies as necessary.
- Follow Dietary safety regulations and precautions at all times.
- Greet and assist all internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors, and team members.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year cook experience.
- Must be alert and attentive to detail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
- Be able to make independent decisions concerning above job duties.
- Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, vendors, and the general public.
- Be knowledgeable of dietary and meal prep practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
