About the role
Join the team at Methodist Home for Children’s new Juvenile Crisis and Assessment Center in Kinston, NC. The center provides a safe, stable environment for youth ages 10–17, guiding them toward brighter futures. The Part‑Time Cook supports this mission by preparing nutritious meals for youth and staff.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals for youth and staff.
- Plan menus that meet USDA and NC Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.
- Order and track food supplies.
- Support cultural diversity in meal planning.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in food preparation, especially for large groups.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to complete required training (CPR, First Aid, etc.).
