About the role

At Layne’s Chicken Fingers we take everything seriously except ourselves. Established in 1994 in College Station, we’ve perfected our chicken-frying technique and built a fun, fast-paced team that doesn’t take itself too seriously but takes our food and service extremely seriously. Responsibilities

• Prepare chicken by breading it in our uniquely seasoned breading and frying it to perfection in our state-of-the-art fryers.
• Manning the griddle plate to toast authentic Texas toasting bread and grill cheese and bacon for our famous club sandwiches.
• Communicate with the front cashier and drive-thru on the number of customers present.
• Communicate with other cooks on food status and speed.
• Assist with prep.
• Ensure the kitchen remains immaculate, cleaning as often as possible.
• Keep up with orders from both the front and drive-thru.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to lift and carry 55 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-food concept.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
