Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, located in Bakersfield, California, is an acute psychiatric and behavioral 90 bed facility situated on 8.8 acres. We offer inpatient and outpatient services for children, adolescents and adults needing mental/behavioral health, chemical dependency; and co-occurring disorders treatment through our medically supervised detoxification. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Food Handler's certification
- Previous experience in the kitchen of a hospital or other large facility and/or experience as a cook in a mental healthcare hospital environment (such experience moves application to shortlist)
- Ideally, at least three (3) years of experience as a cook in a healthcare or similar setting
- Strong kitchen safety skills
- Ability to meet deadlines surrounding a very rigid serving schedule
- Ability to adjust recipes "on the fly" to achieve desired results
