About the role
The position is a part-time, 0.50 FTE, variable position with a salary range of $21.76 – $33.98 per hour. The hiring rate is determined by various factors including education, training, work experience, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
Responsibilities
- Accurately follow and prepare recipes.
- Prepare hot and cold food according to the recipe and following production and food styling guidelines taking into consideration customer/patient counts.
- Maintain proper food handling techniques. Properly clean and sanitize workstation according to safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Organize, calculate, and produce food production.
- Maintain appropriate records according to regulatory and departmental standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: 2 years or more of experience as a cook in a hospital or full-service kitchen, or combination of experience and formal culinary training.
- Preferred: Professional Culinary Institute Certificate.
- Knowledge and understanding of proper food handling and sanitation.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
Qualifications
- Food Handlers Card - Oregon.
Skills
- Knowledge of HACCP guidelines for safe food handling.
