COOK Medical Fall 2027 R&D Engineering Co-op

Overview The Fall R&D Engineering C o -O p is a paid co-op experience located in Bloomington, IN . We offer a 16-week rotation in Research and Development Engineering at Cook Polymer Technology . This position includes a housing stipend , 401(k), fitness center access, learning events, capston e presentation, and more . All C o -O p positions are assigned a direct mentor and each position provide s real-world experience with meaningful projects in the medical device manufacturing industry. Responsibilities Utilize engineering knowledge to produce project deliverables/ documents Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization Must strictly adhere to safety requirements Maintain regular and punctual attendance Must maintain company quality and quantity standards Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations Qualifications All candidates should have an interest in a career in the Life Sciences field, a willingness to take initiative, and an ability to work well with others Candidates should be students entering their Junior or Senior year the following fall semester or entering graduate school; candidates who graduate the spring semester before this internship are also eligible A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred All candidates must provide proof of enrollment (including pre-registration certification for the following fall) for consideration
