About the role

Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing housing and services to seniors with a focus on quality care in a Christian environment. As a Food Service Worker, you will prepare, assemble, cook, season, and portion food for patients, residents, staff, and visitors while ensuring adherence to menu and dietary guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food quality standards including appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation duties in cooking and serving areas.
• Label, store, and manage food, equipment, and machinery properly.
• Follow standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and refrigerators.
• Work independently when necessary and communicate effectively with team members.
• Display adaptability in a dynamic culinary environment.
• Demonstrate basic math and reading skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of applicable experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and perform basic math.
• May require ServSafe certification, BLS, and a valid driver’s license depending on location.
