About the role
AM and PM shifts available (5am-1pm and 12pm-8pm). This is a full-time position, 5 days a week, with no late nights.
Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies to prevent waste and ensure quality products; date, label, and store items properly using proper food handling techniques.
- Review menus, therapeutic menus, recipes, and production sheets before preparing meals; prepare and serve diets properly, accurately, and attractively as planned using proper portions and special diet items.
- Follow standardized recipes and special diet orders, preparing sufficient quantities to meet all service requirements.
- Test and taste foods of all consistencies for proper appearance, flavor, aroma, and temperature, and adjust if needed.
- Provide supervision when needed.
Requirements
- Healthcare food service experience preferred, but not required.
- Banquet/catering experience is preferred, but not required.
