What to Expect in This Role
As a Cook at Saint Mary Home, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing food in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines, as well as our established policies and procedures.
- Following dietary guidelines and procedures to accommodate residents' nutritional needs.
- Preparing specialized textures, including purees, mechanical soft, and other modified diets as needed.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food service area.
- Sure proper care and use of kitchen supplies and equipment.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience in large-scale cooking preferred.
Dietary Procedures, Food Safety Regulations, and Modified Texture Diets
Knowledge of dietary procedures, food safety regulations, and modified texture diets.
Previous Experience in Long-Term Care or Working with the Geriatric Population
Previous experience in long-term care or working with the geriatric population is a plus.
Strong Attention to Detail and Ability to Follow Oral and Written Instructions
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
