Responsibilities
- Prepares all food items properly in accordance with printed orders and plating instructions, avoiding waste in preparation.
- Fulfills all items on the prep list or as directed by the supervisor, maintaining quality and fresh product.
- Maintains quality standards by visually inspecting vegetables, fruits, and meats used, and rotates these products properly to ensure freshness.
- Sets up the pantry, obtains and distributes all requisitioned supplies, stocks and cleans all kitchen areas, and keeps workstation neat and orderly.
- Carries a calibrated thermometer to check prepared food for proper and safe temperature.
- Maintains sanitation buckets with the correct ratio of bleach to water, uses protective gloves when preparing food, and prepares for rush periods without falling behind.
- Follows supervisor's instructions, handles pressure during peak hours, provides exceptional customer service, works safely, adheres to safety rules and regulations, communicates effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and guests, and follows all relevant policies and procedures.
- Complies with the company’s recycling program standards.
Qualifications
- Must be able to follow instructions and work independently.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and guests.
