Responsibilities
- Follow recipes, portion controls, pars, and presentation specifics as set by kitchen management
- Set up work station according to established expectations
- Execute prep tasks from start to finish
- Work collaboratively with heart of house staff and front of house staff
- Maintain cleanliness of all heart of house work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- Participate in deep cleaning of heart of house work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Follow set schedule and give appropriate notification for tardiness and absence
- Conform to Department of Health requirements to run an A-level kitchen
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of culinary experience; luxury hotel and/or high-volume restaurant experience preferred
- Current Food Handler’s Card Required (within 30 Days of Hire)
- Working knowledge of professional cooking techniques, knife skills, food safety, and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow recipes with minimal supervision while maintaining consistency and quality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with strong time management skills
- Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Receptive to feedback with a strong desire to learn, grow, and continuously improve
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs
