Our Panda Shift Leader associates are important leaders of our team and are responsible for bringing Panda’s mission alive in our restaurants by supporting management in creating food with passion, service with heart, and ambiance with pride. As a Shift Lead, you will embrace a central role in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment. - Support in creating a vibrant and welcoming environment for our guests.
- Gain valuable skills managing store operations and leading the team during the shift.
- Gain hands-on experience in cooking and preparing Panda favorites for our guests.

Responsibilities
- Manage store operations and lead the team during shifts.
- Prepare hot and cold foods using kitchen equipment, including Chinese cook knives.
- Maintain food safety standards and comply with local/municipal requirements (e.g., Food Handler certification).
- Work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods (up to four hours), and reach across countertops.
- Navigate hot, noisy kitchens with limited storage space and high shelving.
- Communicate effectively, adapt to dynamic environments, and manage conflicts or difficult situations.
Qualifications
- Some high school education.
- Preferred: Some operations experience.
- Food Handler certification or equivalent (acquired at applicant’s own expense).
Work Environment
While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam tables and food vapors. Workspace is restricted, and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods. The role requires physical stamina, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended durations, and reaching across countertops. Kitchens are hot and noisy, with limited storage and high shelving. Employees must thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong verbal communication skills.
