Cook III, Woodlake Market

Specific Responsibilities

• Assist in the training of Cook I’s in culinary skill set, safety, and sanitation practices.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of dietary needs and its importance to proper and safe food handling.
• Gain exposure to other stations of home department and other departments around resort.
• Avoid working on more than one outlet across resort.
• Affix adherence and updating of ordering checklists and prep lists by all Cook I’s and II’s.
• Collaborate with Chef for conducting monthly inventory taking, when needed.
• Be capable of working stations in more than one outlet across resort.
• Aid in the development of daily specials or menu additions with trends and innovation in mind.
• Aid in utilizing shrink from around store to maximize profitability.
• Develop and maintain recipes to ensure margins.
• Train and develop tastings and samples in accordance with other departments.
• Hold customer education sessions.

Skills/Requirements

• At least 2 years culinary experience, recommended.
• Ability to work all stations of assigned kitchen, appetizer/dessert, grill, sauté and food preparation stations.
• Exposure to resort guests through guest facing activities/stations.
• Completion of sanitation course.
• 3-4 years culinary experience, recommended.
• Basic baking skills, recommended.
• Knowledge or recipe testing and cost control.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary terms.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $21.30 - $31.90. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.

Schedule

This is a full-time position working both weekdays and weekends. Shifts vary between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm.
