Responsibilities
- Execute all food production as per the Sous Chef’s production sheets.
- Practice a “clean as you go” work ethic and adhere to proper food handling techniques, including wearing plastic gloves and maintaining a clean uniform.
- Prepare the correct quantities of food as directed by the Sous Chef.
- Operate with high professionalism at all times.
- Communicate with stewards regarding equipment cleaning needs and handle special requests from the Sous Chef or guests.
- Maintain Bally’s Casino’s food quality specifications as outlined in the standard recipe.
- Ensure the department remains waste-free by controlling production and utilizing returned food.
- Complete Serv-Safe training.
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh.
- Follow recipes meticulously, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
- Bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods.
- Present, garnish, and arrange final dishes.
- Occasionally serve food.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes.
- Handle and store ingredients and food.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
- Work in a smoking environment.
