Major Job Duties
- Set up and break down various cooking stations.
- Fulfill supply requisitions for stocking cooking stations.
- Aid other cooks by performing tasks such as grilling, cooking in wok, sauteeing, stirring soups, monitoring roasts, checking broiled items, and chopping vegetables.
- Observe and learn all tasks performed by other cooks to eventually perform them independently.
- Participate in all phases of the kitchen operation to gain comprehensive understanding of the kitchen's functions.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Welcoming and courteous to all team members, both colleagues and guests.
- Present a professional and courteous demeanor towards all team members and staff.
- Provide courteous and friendly service to all staff.
- Perform related work as directed.
- 1 year experience in Asian, Italian, or casual cooking in a specialty restaurant preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Some college-level courses.
- Professional, pleasant, confident, and well-groomed presentation.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with guests and staff.
- Comprehension of recipes and menus.
- Basic mathematical ability.
- Knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Clark County Health Card.
