Cook II - Full-Time - Hilton Short Hills
About the role
Located across the street from The Mall at Short Hills, the Hilton Short Hills offers locally sourced food, an outdoor terrace and lounge, tennis courts, and an indoor/outdoor pool to create memorable guest experiences. We are seeking a dedicated team member to join our Culinary team in a unionized position.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, select, and use high-quality food items in the preparation of all menu items.
- Ensure timely and consistent preparation of food-to-order items for customers and guests.
- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards, production and portion standards, and server checks.
- Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Date all food containers and rotate stock properly.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience as a Cook, preferably in a hotel setting.
- Valid Food Handler certification.
- Willingness to engage in physical work and take pride in delivering quality food preparation and presentation.
