Responsibilities
- Consistently prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner, or hor d'oeuvres to standards established by the Executive Chef.
- Ensures that work area is kept clean and orderly.
- Aid in the training of new Cooks.
- Must be able to stand a full shift.
- Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow team members.
- Completes daily checklist and production charts as directed by your supervisor.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum of two years experience in a full service restaurant preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge and ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment.
- Must be able to identify all products used in kitchen operation.
- Recognizes spoiled or questionable products.
- Ability to read, comprehend and execute recipes.
- The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- This job requires frequent standing, reaching, talking, hearing, and walking.
- The team member is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
