Specific Responsibilities

  • Prepare all foods necessary for service to the demonstrated culinary standards.
  • Produce all quantities according to forecast and par levels.
  • Maintain composure and focus in occasional high stress peak times in business.
  • Basic protein fabrication – beef, chicken, pork, and fish.
  • Filling out proper prep lists daily to keep effective communication channels.
  • Rotating all food stocks (i.e., first in, first out).
  • Sanitation ensuring that food prepared does not fall in the temperature danger zone and taking immediate action if jeopardized.
  • Adhering to Company grooming policies, break policies, and eating policies.
  • Practicing safe food handling techniques always and in all venues.
  • Maintaining the knife safety standards outlined from knife safety training document.
  • Utilizing the safety stations and being aware of any current or potential hazards.
  • Knowing how to assemble, disassemble, and clean all equipment within job duties.
  • Knowing how to properly store and use approved chemicals.

Luxury Standards

  • Clean coat, apron, hat, proper pants, non-slip shoes.
  • A service culture mindset and team player mentality.

Skills/Requirements

  • At least one year of culinary experience to have the ability to work a minimum of two stations in a kitchen.
  • Basic knowledge of sauce/soup/stocks.
  • Understanding of dietary needs as it pertains to proper safe food handling.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instruction efficiently with supervision.
  • Preferred, but not required - Have a high school diploma and/or a reading, speaking, and written fluency in English.
  • Able to occasionally be guest facing as applicable.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $19.30 - $28.90. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.

Schedule

This is a PM part-time position working weekends and weekdays including benefits. While this position is primarily PM, shift hours may vary between 5am-1am with an average of 30-37 hours a week.
